RA STATE BUDGETARY REVENUES FROM CAPITAL OPERATIONS GROW BY 29.3% IN 2006

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 8, NOYAN TAPAN. In 2006, the state budgetary
revenues of the RA from capital operations made about 16 bln drams
(about 38 mln 458 thousand USD), 14.6 bln drams of which was received
from alienation of lands - state property, and 1.4 bln drams - from
sale of fixed assets. Revenues from capital operations secured 109.8%
of the programmed annual index. According to the RA Ministry of Finance
and Economy, state budgetary revenues from capital operations grew by
about 3.6 bln drams or 29.3% in 2006 on 2005, which was due to revenues
from sale of lands in Yerevan. Last year the state budget's official
transfers amounted to 12.3 bln drams, which was by 33.7% more than
the programmed annual index. More than 5 bln drams of this sum was
provided by the Dutch government under the World Bank's Second Credit
Program on Poverty Reduction Support, and about 4.8 bln drams - under
the EU's Food Security Program. The British government allocated 863.3
mln drams as budgetary assistance for poverty reduction in Armenia. The
UK provided another 384.3 mln drams for implementation of regional
development programs in Gegharkunik and Tavush marzes. 606.8 mln
drams was allocated by the Japanese government. Official transfers
of 644.2 mln drams were made to extra-budgetary accounts of state
institutions. In 2006, the grants transferred to the RA state budget
increased by 25% or about 2.5 bln drams.
