HENCEFORTH IT WILL BE POSSIBLE TO CONDUCT MOLECULAR STUDIES ON BIRD
FLU AT REPUBLICAN VETERINARY EPIDEMIOLOGICAL AND DIAGNOSTIC CENTER
YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 23, NOYAN TAPAN. Within the program on fight against
bird flu in Armenia, the USAID on February 23 donated laboratory
equipment and other items of a total of 300 thousand USD to the State
Veterinary Inspection of the RA Ministry of Agriculture and the
Republican Veterinary Epidemiological and Diagnostic Center. Besides,
the center was provided with protective clothing and 2 cars with
necessary devices for rapid response to epidemiological
emergencies. The RA Minister of Agriculture Davit Lokian said that
henceforth it will be possible to conduct molecular studies on bird
flu at the center. According to the minister, training courses for
experts of the veterinary service are also organized under the
program.
