ARMENIAN NEWS AGENCY DIRECTOR BLAMES WEBSITE ATTACK ON AZERI HACKERS

Yerevan, 26 February: Azerbaijani computer geeks carried out a sort
of sabotage against the Armenian new agency De Facto this morning.
Karen Zakharyan, head of the agency which covers developments in
the Nagornyy Karabakh republic, told Arminfo that this morning he
and the agency staff found out that Azerbaijani computer geeks had
entered their website by chance. They posted there photographs of the
"Xocali tragedy", lists of people who were killed and a quote from
the late Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev. The quote did not blame
the Armenians, but only condemned the tragedy, Zakharyan said.
"But nobody denies that a tragedy had occurred in Xocali [during
military operations in Nagornyy Karabakh in 1992]. However, it is
obvious that the real culprits are Azerbaijanis," Zakharyan said. He
also said that the consequences of the "raid" [by hackers] have
been eliminated.
