PRESIDENTS OF FOOTBALL FEDERATIONS OF AZERBAIJAN AND ARMENIA FAIL TO
REACH COMPROMISE
Yerevan, January 26. ArmInfo. During their meeting in Dusseldorf the
President of the Football Federation of Azerbaijan Ramiz Mirzoyev and
the President of the Football Federation of Armenia Ruben Hayrapetyan
failed to reach compromise on the venue of the EURO 08 qualification
matches between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
APA-Sport reports that the Azeri side demanded holding the matches
on neutral field, while the Armenian side insisted on holding the
matches in Yerevan and Baku. The presidents will meet once again
today evening or tomorrow morning.
