We cannot repeal article 301, Erdogan said

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. `There
has not yet been a suggestion made by civil society
groups to us regarding article 301. But, as the
government, we are working on this. If there are no
serious, well-thought out suggestions made, we will go
ahead on our own to take steps in this direction,' he
said. Erdogan did underline to reporters that an
outright lifting of article 301 did not look likely in
the near future, stating `There are some civil society
organizations which have told us only 'get rid of
301.' We cannot simply get rid of 301, there is no one
who should ask us to do so,' reports Hurriyet.
