ARMENIAN BOXERS TO PARTICIPATE IN AN INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT IN MINSK

The Armenian national boxing team left for Minsk today to participate
in an international tournament featuring sportsmen from 24 countries.
Before leaving for Minsk the chief coach of the Armenian team Raphael
Mehrabyan told Armenpress that the strongest sportsmen of Europe
and Asia will participate in the tournament. He noted that Armenian
boxers need to compete with Asian sportsmen to prepare for the World
Championship due in the US in October. Besides, the Minsk tournament
will provide the opportunity to compete with many of future rivals.
The Armenian national boxing team comprises Hovhannes Danielyan (48kg),
Derenik Gnzhlaryan (51kg), Gabriel Tolmajyan (54kg), Hrachya Javakhyan
(54kg), Hrachya Hovhannisyan (69kg) and Tsolak Ananikyan (81kg).
