VARDAN MALKHASYAN DID NOT FIND HIMSELF GUILTY AND SAID THAT POLITICAL PUNISHMENT IS CARRIED OUT OVER HIM

"I do not find myself guilty as I have ponderable proofs which tell
about the political punishment being carried out against us", activist
of the movement "Union of Armenian Volunteers" Vardan Malkhasyan,
charged with calls to forcible overthrow of the constitutional system,
said at today's sitting of the court.
He said it is quite apparent that there are people in the country's
leadership who esteem themselves higher of all the laws and legal
propositions, and "as a result of their criminal inclinations, me and
my team- mates have been under illegal arrest over 8 months already".
