FOUR CANDIDATES FOR POST OF HEAD OF SHENGAVIT COMMUNITY REGISTERED

YEREVAN, JULY 11, NOYAN TAPAN. The four candidates put forward for
the special elections for the post of the head of the Shengavit
community were registered by the Constituency Electoral Commission
11 of Yerevan in the July 10 sitting. Robert Temurian, a member of
the Electoral Commission, informed a Noyan Tapan correspondent that
Gagik Avetian, a member of the Orinats Yerkir (Country of Law) party,
non-party Sargis Hovhannisian ("Cadillac Seroj"), Robert Masumian
("Benzin 'Petrol' Rubo"), and Mushegh Movsisian are contending for the
post of the head of the Shengavit community. It should be mentioned
that Gevorg Hovhannisian, a member of the RPA faction, who placed an
order of nomination in the defined period, officially renounced his
nomination by his own application written on the eve of the elections.
The special election of the head of the Shengavit community is
envisaged to be held on July 22. The candidates can make use of their
right of making a self-rejection until July 12.
