PM SERGE SARGSYAN CONGRATULATES THE STATE ACADEMIC CHOIR OF ARMENIA ON JUBILEE

RA Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan issued a congratulating address on
the occasions of the 70th anniversary of the State Academic Choir
of Armenia.
"I congratulate the 70th jubilee of the State Academic Choir of
Armenia.
In the course of seven decades the State Academic Choir of Armenia has
presented the Armenian choir art to the world, preserving the unique
and rich traditions of Armenian musical art. The choir has always
attracted its listeners with its exceptional performances. The Choir is
known not only for performance of national and religious compositions,
but also unique interpretation of classical music. The Choir's art
has always been highly valued and is known as a "creative pearl of
the Armenian people" among musical critics and art-loving people.
Undoubtedly, today's creative growth is directly associated with the
work of its art director and chief conductor Hovhannes Tchekijian,
who continues the work of the founder of the choir Tatul Altunyan
and Aram Ter-Hovhannisyan.
The State Academic Choir of Armenia is truly one of the most popular
contemporary choirs.
Once again I congratulate you on the occasion of the 70th anniversary
of State Academic Choir of Armenia and wish new growth and creative
achievements."
