MICROSOFT TO PRESENT ARMENIAN VARIANTS OF VISTA OPERATION SYSTEM IN AUTUMN AND OF MICROSOFT OFFICE PACKAGE BY THE END OF THE YEAR

YEREVAN, JULY 12, NOYAN TAPAN. The Armenian variant of the Vista
(user's interface) computer operation system will be presented
in autumn 2007 and the Armenian variant of the Microsoft Office
2007 program package by the end of the year. The latter will also
include spelling checking program of about 10 thousand Armenian
words. The above mentioned program package will be included in the
Armenian variant of the Vista system. They will be given free of
charge to users of Microsoft's English or Russian licensed operation
systems. Grigor Barseghian, the Director of the Microsoft RA company
(Microsoft's branch), said on July 11.
In his words, the already introduced Armenian variant of Microsoft's
production, Windows XP operation system, has already called forth
much interest, in particular, among the population of the RA regions,
and state institutions. The users of licensed Windows are also free
of charge given the Armenian variant of that system with laser disks.
