Millennium Challenge Account Georgia visits Armenia

On June the 1st Millennium Challenge Georgia Fund (MCG) staff, headed
by the MCG CEO Lasha Shanidze, and Stakeholders' Committee members were
the guests of Millennium Challenge Account ` Armenia (MCA-Armenia). The
Georgian delegation was in Armenia with a reciprocal visit. MCA-Armenia
staff was the first to visit Tbilisi in March 2007, when they had an
opportunity to get acquainted with MCG, its certain components as well
as with the way of work of their Georgian counterparts.
In Armenia the MCG mission had meetings with MCA-Armenia SNCO and
Stakeholders' Committee members and discussed the latest developments
and progress of the Program implementations in both countries, visited
Echmiadzin.
MCA-Armenia CEO Ara Hovsepyan: `I am sure that this kind of contacts
with our Georgian colleagues are giving us an opportunity to raise the
effectiveness of Program implementation in both countries through
exchange of experience and interpersonal relationships'.
