The rector of Mesrop Mashtots University Donara Gabrielyan became
member of the European Club of Rectors. The club was set up in Oxford
in 2005.
Yesterday Donara Gabrielyan told this in a news conference she held
after her visit to Bulgaria. The rector of the university took part in
the forum on academic cooperation in Varna held by the Club of Rectors,
the European Business Assembly and the Open University of Varna.
Donara Gabrielyan says membership of Rectors Club will enable
the students of Mesrop Mashtots University to study in European
universities and colleges. "Those who wish to visit us, we will
introduce our history, our sights to them," said Donara Gabrielyan. She
also emphasized that a department of tourism will be set up in the
university. The rector says the university was awarded the medal for
European Integration, which they will get in March in Malta.
The rector said the university finished the process of state
accreditation and now focuses on the quality of education. This year,
for instance, 24 undergraduate students were not permitted to take
the final exams.
