/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Armenia's Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan met Tuesday
with OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel
Moratinos, the RA government's press office reports.

Welcoming the guest, the PM voiced hope that the visit will promote
the OSCE-Armenia cooperation as well as the Armenia-Spain bilateral
    relations.

For his part, Mr Moratinos said Spain plans to establish embassy
in Armenia what will efficiently contribute to the development of
    bilateral relations.

He also praised Armenia's economy growth and said that Spain, being
one of the world's major investors, can make investments in various
    fields in Armenia.

He noted the importance of the visit in the context of the Karabakh
peaceful process and encouraged those who seek for creation of the
atmosphere of trust between the Armenian and Azeri people.

The OSCE CiO congratulated PM Sargsyan on the improvement fixed by the
OSCE observation mission during the May 12 parliamentary elections
rating it as a good foundation for the presidential election. He
assured that the OSCE is ready to maximally assist in holding elections
at a high level and in accordance with the European criteria.

Thanking for the positive estimation Serge Sargsyan noted the election
system needs perfection to fully meet international standards. He
voiced hope that the presidential election in 2008 will demonstrate
    a greater improvement.

When touching upon the Nagorno Karabakh conflict resolution the RA
PM confirmed the position of the Armenian side to settle the problem
peacefully and via mutual concessions. "I am hopeful that the Saint
Petersburg meeting will produce effect despite Azerbaijani President's
statements, which inspire little optimism. This meeting may cement
a political basis for further talks," he said.
