SPECIALIST FOR DISPERSAL OF MEETINGS IN ARMENIA DISMISSED

Deputy Head of RA Police, Lieutenant-General Hovhannes Varyan is
dismissed by RA President's decree. As Radio "Liberty" reports,
the petition of Head of Police, Colonel- General Haik Haroutyunyan
has become the basis for the decree. According to the Radio data,
resignation of the General is connected with his serious disagreements
with Head of RA Police. To recall, Hovhannes Varyan "became famous
for successful dispersal" of meetings of the opposition using special
means in spring, 2004.
