Today European Union special representative in the South Caucasus
Peter Semneby's visit to Nagornyy Karabakh is expected. As special
correspondent of ArmInfo in Stepanakert informs, the European diplomat
will meet the NKR President Arkadiy Gukasyan, representatives of
the political circles and the non-government sector of the NKR. When
commenting on the forthcoming visit of Semneby to Karabakh, coordinator
of "Helsinki Initiative-92" committee Karen Ohandzanyan said that the
planned meeting of Semneby with representatives of the non-government
sector of the NKR reflects positive and serious attitude of the
EU towards the problems of democratic processes development in
Karabakh, strengthening of the role of civil sector and activation
of peace-making process.
