Heritage Demands Delegate to Council of Europe
Yerevan--Today Heritage Party parliamentary leader Raffi K. Hovannisian sent
a letter to National Assembly Chairman Tigran Torosyan asking and expecting
him immediately to dispatch a Heritage representative to Strasbourg for the
current session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Torosyan told the press on June 22 that he was sending two pro-government
MPs from the previous National Assembly on the justification that the
parliament's new delegation has not been fully and finally constituted.
"This rationale neither diminishes nor discharges the commitment of the
Republic of Armenia to ensure opposition participation at all deliberations
of the Council of Europe," Hovannisian said.

Heritage Demands Delegate to Council of Europe
