AZERBAIJAN WANTS TO RETURN MURDERER SAFAROV

Not satisfied with making the Armenian officer Gurgen Margarian's
murderer Ramil Safarov a hero, Azerbaijani authorities want to return
him officially to their country.
The military procurator of Azerbaijan Khanlar Veliyev visited Budapest
and saw the Azerbaijani officer Ramil Safarov, who is sentenced to life
imprisonment for the murder of the Armenian officer Gurgen Margarian.
According to Day.az agency the military procurator announced that the
physical and moral state of Safarov is satisfactory. He also hoped
that they would take Safarov to Azerbaijan.
Khanlar Veliyev informed that they would appeal against the February
22, 2007 verdict of Budapest Appeal Court about leaving the life
imprisonment decision unchangeable in autumn, as there is no time
limit for the appeal in Hungarian Court.
