U.S. ARMENIAN RESOLUTION "INDIGESTIBLE" TO TURKEY

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ It will be difficult for Turkey to "digest" the
U.S. Congress resolution on the Armenian Genocide, the Turkish Prime
Minister's foreign policy advisor stated. Justice and Development
Party (AK Party) deputy Egemen Bagiş said at a time when Turkey
and the U.S. have numerous joint projects going on, including Iraq's
reconstruction, the resolution's passage would be unacceptable for
    the Turkish public.

The next Turkish delegation is leaving this weekend for the United
States with a group of legislators to lobby in Washington against
the resolution on the 1915 Armenian Genocide. "This resolution
would be like adding insult to injury. It would make things more
complicated. This is not a threat. It would put the government in an
awkward situation," he noted, Today's Zaman reports.
