ARMENIA, CAMBODIA, MACEDONIA, ROMANIA TO JOIN ANTI-NUKE INITIATIVE

WASHINGTON, May 4 (Itar-Tass) - Armenia, Cambodia, Macedonia and
Romania have decided to join the Global Initiative to Combat Nuclear
Terrorism, the US Department of State reported on Thursday.
It is stressed in a statement of the US State Department spokesman
that the leadership in this initiative belongs to the United States
and Russia. It also says that the issue of new participants' joining
this project will be considered at a regular meeting in Kazakhstan
in June 2007.
The previous such forum was held in Turkey in February. Aside from five
leading countries (the United States, Russia, China, Great Britain
and France), Japan, Italy, Canada, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Australia and
Morocco will also participate in the current meeting.
