PEOPLE RATHER THAN AUTHORITIES ARE THOSE TO DECIDE, CHAIRMAN OF
"ALLIANCE" SAYS
KAPAN, MAY 7, NOYAN TAPAN. "Elect whoever you want - the candidate you
prefer to others but do not vote under compulsion," Samvel Babayan,
Chairman of the "Alliance" party said during the May 7 meeting with
voters at Kapan's culture palace. In his words, "today some go from
house to house, distributing potatoes or fuel and asking to elect
them, so the opinion that everything is already determined is wrong."
The leader of "Alliance" appealed to residents of Kapan to renounce
the idea that nothing depends on the people. "During the war there
were rumors that we would give back the lands, that the Armenian
National Movement decided so but we proved to be united and we won. Do
not think that the authorities are those to decide and there is
nothing we can do about it. It is for us to decide," S. Babayan
stated.
Members of "Alliance" also had meetings in Sisian and Goris.
