The former Foreign Minister Alexander Arzumanian is being suspected
in the legalization of illegally acquired incomes. According to the
Lawyer Hovik Arsenyan, there is not any article specified by the
RoA Criminal Code within the framework of the relevant legalization
related the subject.
To remind, Alexander Arzumanian was arrested yesterday evening at
his apartment.
The Lawyer said that Alexander Arzumanian was not involved in any
kind of entrepreneurship. Hovik Arsenyan defined illegal to bring such
an accusation against his defendant. He is going to send a letter of
petition to the corresponding instance.
It is required that the preliminary investigative body either brings
accusation against Alexander Arzumanian or releases him within 42
hours. " Such corpus delicti does not exist in this case", said
Hovik Arsenyan.
The former Deputy Defense Minister Vahan Shirkhanian, who is also
being accused in the same crime, informed A1+ that at the moment he
is giving explanations at National Security Service.
