  • If Violations Remain Like This PPA will not accept election results

"IF PROCESS OF ELECTORAL VIOLATIONS REMAINS LIKE THIS, PEOPLE' PARTY
OF ARMENIA WILL NOT ACCEPT VALIDITY OF MAY 12 ELECTIONS," SPOKESWOMAN
    FOR PPA RUZAN KHCHATRIAN STATES

YEREVAN, MAY 13, NOYAN TAPAN. "Although elections in Armenia have
always been noted for many electoral bribes, this time their extent
has reached the level of indecency." Spokeswoman for People's Party
of Armenia Ruzan Khachatrian stated this at the press conference
convened at 15.30 pm on May 13.

Speaking about voter lists, she said that police officials make
statements, according to which the voter lists are in excellent
state. However, R. Khachatrain showed reporters a list with names of
30 voters from the voter list of polling station 9/11 - only 9 of them
had the right to vote, while the other 21 were persons who changed
their place of residence. Spokeswoman added that PPA has received
numerous alarm calls that voter lists contain names of people who died
    many years ago.

In her words, "it is obvious that a well-developed program will
function, and it started a few days ago when sociologist Aharon
Adibekian made public the results of a sociological survey. It can be
said that Aharon Adibekian himself is one of heroes of these
    elections."

    R. Khachatrian considerted as absurdity the fact that up to that
moment PPA failed to receive even 1% of votes instead of the 5%. "If
the process of electoral violations remains like this, PPA will not
accept the validity of these eelctions," she stated.
