GOHAR GASPARYAN'S CIVIL FUNERAL TO TAKE PLACE TODAY

Today at 18:00 famous singer Gohar Gasparyan's civil funeral will be
held at 20, Baghramyan 50B.
The last farewell will be bid tomorrow at the National Theatre of
Opera and Ballet after Alexander Spendiaryan. The funeral will take
place the same day in the Komitas Pantheon.
Gohar Gasparyan was born in 1924 in Cairo. She studied at the local
musical academy. In 1948 she was repatriated. Since 1949 she played the
leading roles in 23 operas at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet
of Armenia. There were 500 compositions in her concert repertoire.
