M. SAHAKASHVILI TO PARTICIPATE IN OPENING OF NEWLY-BUILT SPORTS COMPLEX IN NINOTSMINDA

NINOTSMINDA, MAY 24, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. The newly-built
sports complex of the region of Ninotsminda will be put into
operation on May 30 and will pass under heading of the region heads,
and the solemn ceremony of opening of the structure will be held
on the next day, with participation of country President Mikhail
Sahakashvili. Samtskhe-Javakhk Governor Gevorg Khachidze stated about
it at the meeting held in the sports complex.
According to Javakhk-Info, construction of this two-storey sports
complex was implemented in the territory of the Ninotsminda central
park by the NVITOE LTD of Tbilisi, on the initiative and with financing
of the President of Georgia. The construction works started still on
May 19, 2006 but finished eight months later of the envisaged term
because of financial problems. The building has 10 m height, 150-seat
wide hall, big cloak-rooms, offices are given on the first floor of
the construction for the administration, lawyer and medical assistance.
As Suren Mosoyan, the Gamgeoba of the region of Ninotsminda assured at
the meeting, the local unemployed population will be given possibility
to be provided by new working places, and the sports complex will be
a perfect present for the sport loving youth of the region.
To add, the training ground will be given for different types of
sports: Armenian kokh (Armenian national wrestling), wrestling,
weight-lifting, volley-ball, basketball.
