GERALD GAFESCHIAN CONGRATULATED THE ARMENIAN PEOPLE AND AUTHORITIES

"May 12 was a historic day for the Armenian Government and people
on the way of irrevercible demicratisation and rule of law," Gerald
Gafeschian, Chairman of the US-Armenia Public Affairs Committee
(USAPAC), president of the " Gafeschian" Fund Gerald Gafeschian wrote
in a letter to Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan, adding that "with these
national elections the Armenian people secured its future."
Mr. Gafeschian stressed the fact that the local and international
observers noted that these elections were the best ever since Armenia's
independence. " Accept my congratulations and appreciation for all
you did before the elections to secure this positive outcome. The
newly elected Parliament has a historic opportunity to enjoy the
trust and belief of the electorate," Gafeschian noted.
He added that the "Gafeschian Family" Fund, CS Media and USAPAC expect
to live together to assure Armenia's security, welfare and democracy.
