REPORT ON ARMENIAN PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS TO BE PRESENTES AT PACE MONITORING COMMITTEE SITTING

The report on May 12 parliamentary election of Armenia will be
discussed at today's sitting of the Monitoring Committee of the
Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Belgrade, Head of
the PACE Observation Mission Leo Platvoet told ArmInfo.
"Besides listing the facts related to the electoral process, the
report will present suggestions for improving the Electoral Code in
the future and implementing necessary corrections," the author of
the report noted. He added that monitoring of documents will also be
included in the observation procedure. " Besides, I will present my
suggestions to the Veniice Commission for the purpose of improving the
cooperation with Armenia in executing the provisions of the Armenian
Electoral Code," Leo Platvoet noted.
