FRIED: RUSSIA AND USA WORK TOGETHER IN DIRECTION OF KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT

Russia and the USA work together in direction of the Karabakh conflict
settlement, that will lead to stability and security in the South
Caucasus, U.S. Assistant Secretary General for Europe and EurAsia
Daniel Fried said coming out before the members of the Helsinki
Committee of Congress.
He said that the Karabakh conflict settlement depends on Azerbaijan
and Armenia and it is a mutual interest of both countries. "I have
been in the region in spring together with OSCE MG Co-chairs to
present the basic principles for the Karabakh conflict settlement to
the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan. These principles are the
central ones for the conflict settlement", D. Fried said.
