PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION OF CRIMINAL ACTION BROUGHT AGAINST ZHIRAYR SEFILIAN AND OTHER FINISHES, DEFENSIVE SIDE GETS ACQUAINTED WITH MATERIALS OF CASE

YEREVAN, MAY 25, NOYAN TAPAN. The Examination Department of the RA
National Security Service finished the preliminary investigation
on the criminal action brought against Zhirayr Sefilian and Vardan
Malkhasian, accused of "making public calls on masterting the state
power" as well as against Vahan Aroyan accused of keeping illegal
armament. As V. Malkhasian's defender Mushegh Shushanian informed the
Noyan Tapan correspondent on May 24, the defensive side is getting
acquainted with the materials of the criminal case forming 5 volumes
already for about a week.
Zh. Sefilian's and V. Malkhasian's defenders decided to limit the
process of getting acquainted with the case materials with one-week
term, arising of interests of their defendants being under arrest. It
is envisaged that the defensive side will present a mediation to the
investigation body. After the latter's making a decision and bill of
indictment concerning it, the case will be sent to the court.
