ARMENIAN CHURCH LEADER CONGRATULATES ARMENIAN PEOPLE ON DAY OF FIRST REPUBLIC

YEREVAN. May 29. /ARKA/. Leader of the Armenian Church Garegin the
Second congratulated the Armenian people on the Day of the First
Republic of Armenia on May 28.
"Our hearts are filled with joy and comfort. We mark the proclamation
of the First Republic of Armenia, consecrated by the glorious memory
of heroic battles of our people in Sardarapat, Bash-Aparan, and
Karakilis," the message of the Armenian Church leader says.
"Today our Homeland is independent. In the small country, saved thanks
to the victories of our ancestors, our people lives a free life,
develops its country, with the same faith in God and love for the
Homeland brings to life expectations and aspirations of our bright
national life," Garegin II said in his message.
