COMMUNISTS: "WITH A SOCIALIST MASK, DASHNAKTSUTYUN IS FIGHTING AGAINST SOCIALISM"

Armenia's communist party leader, Ruben Tovmasyan, up to now still
doesn't know just what Dashnaktsutyun wants. Tovmasyan announced
this today while meeting with journalists, answering questions
about the possibility of the coming together of the communists and
Dashnaktsutyun. He read words from a 1906 message from Stepan Shahumyan
to Dashnaktsutyun: "With the mask of socialism, you are doing your
best to destroy it, along with the workers' movement in the Caucasus.
You even call yourself a revolutionary party, yet for 15 years
are fighting against revolution. Now you label yourself as both
revolutionary and socialist, yet battle against both."
Tovmasyan reminded that, as part of the government in recent years,
Dashnaktsutyun presented no bills pertaining to socialist ideals.
