MONETARY BASE GROWS BY 3.3%, BROAD MONEY - BY 2% IN ARMENIA IN SEPTEMBER 2007

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 1, NOYAN TAPAN. By preliminary data of the Central
Bank of Armenia (CBA), the monetary base made 333 bln 14 mln drams
(about 1 bln 9 mln drams) in Armenia as of September 30, 2007,
increasing by 10 bln 725 mln drams or 3.3% on the previous month.
According to the RA National Statistical Service, the broad money
made 581 bln 891 mln drams as of September 30, 2007, growing by 11
bln 416 mln drams or 2% on the previous month.
The balance of the population's deposists with banks amounted to 160
bln 567 mln drams as of September 30, 2007, growing by 6 bln 656 mln
drams or 4.3% on the previous month and by 53 bln 241 mln drams or
49.6% on the same period of last year.
