    THREE OF LEADERS IN ARMENIA'S BANKING SYSTEM BY LEVEL OF NET PROFIT OVER 9 MONTHS, 2007, INCLUDES ARDSHININVESTBANK, 'HSBC BANK ARMENIA' AND 'ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE' BANK

    ArmInfo. The greatest level of net profit in Armenia's banking system
    over 9 months, 2007, was assured by Ardshininvestbank, and Bank -
    3 bln drams ($8.9 mln), 2.4 bln drams ($7.1 mln) and 2.3 bln drams
    ($6.9 mln), respectively.

    The fourth place by this indicator is taken by Armeconombank- 1.4
    bln drams, the fifth place by Unibank - 1.2 bln drams. According to
    RA commercial bank's Ranking data, prepared by the Agency of Rating
    Marketing Information (ARMINFO), the Armenian Development Bank leads
    by the degree of return on assets - 5,6% (the net profit share in
    assets - ROA). The second place is taken by Ardshininvestbank - 4,1%,
    the third place - by Bank - 4%, the fourth place - by INECOBANK -
    3,5% and the fifth place - by Unibank - 3,2%.

    By the level of return on equity (ROE), Ardshininvestbank is a
    leader, 31,3%. The 2nd place is taken by - 27,2%, the 3rd place -
    by Armeconombank - 19,6%, the 4th place - by Unibank - 18,2% and the
    5th place - by Artsakhbank - 15,7%.

    The accumulated surplus of Armenia's banking system, upon results of
    the first 9 months, 2007, made up 16.8 bln drams ($50 mln), having
    increased by 38,4% per annum, and about 3 times as compared ith
    2003. According to returns of 21 acting banks, 20 banks completed
    the first nine months, 2007, with profit - 16.6 bln drams, and one
    bank's loss made up 212.8 mln drams.

    The total capital of the banking system for the first 9 months,
    2007, grew by 24,1%, and by 26,8% per annum, and more than twice as
    compared with 2004, to 148.5 bln drams ($442.2 mln) as of September
    30. The annual growth of this indicator has been assured both at
    the expense of profit increase and the authorized capital growth -
    by 23,5% per annum, having made 98.3 bln drams ($292.9 mln) by late
    September, 2007. The "Anelik Bank" leads by the authorized capital
    replenishment. It increased this indicator 7 times per annum. In all,
    replenishment of the authorized fund per annum (the first 9 months,
    2007 as compared with the similar period, 2006) has been assured by
    8 commercial banks, while no change of this indicator has been fixed
    per the rest 13 commercial banks. The Armbusinessbank has shown the
    greatest annual growth of the total capital - by 119,3%, and by 116,2%
    over the first 9 months, 2007.
