"ONLY 200 THOUSAND DOLLARS IS NEEDED FOR BUILDING SUN POWER STATION IN ARMENIA," ACADEMICIAN PARIS HERUNI SAYS

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 9, NOYAN TAPAN. Only 200 thousand dollars is needed
for finishing the construction work of the sun power station in
Armenia, which was interrupted as far back as ten years ago. Author
of "Arev" project, Director of the RA NAS Radiophysics Institute,
Academician Paris Heruni informed the journalists about this at
the November 9 press conference. In his words, at present work of
getting energy from the sun is done in the world, but the government
of Armenia is indifferent to this project.
Whereas, according to the academician, many rich people abroad offer
big sums for that project.
P. Heruni also touched upon the ancient observatory "Karahunj" near
Sisian, which today is paid no attention to. In his words, the state
should undertake measures for organizing the preservation of that
territory. P. Heruni said that once he made up a project directed to
the preservation of "Karahunj", for the implementation of which 2.5
million dollars is needed.
