WINTER PREPARATORY WORK BEING DONE IN ALL YEREVAN COMMUNITIES

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 12, NOYAN TAPAN. By the assignment of Yerevan Mayor,
winter preparatory work is being done in all communities of Yerevan. As
Vano Vardanian, the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, said at the November 12
press conference, flat roofs with total area of 86 thousand square
meters and sloping roofs with area of 22 thousand square meters have
been already repaired, tubes of more than 18 thousand meters, doors
of 1264 house entrances have been placed. It was also mentioned that
in total, 520 tons of salt and 1452 cubic meters of sand has been
accumulated in 12 communities.
According to V. Vardanian, 20 tenement houses will be provided
with centralized heating in winter in Yerevan. And since next year,
according to him, centralized heating systems will be also relaunched
in the Avan and Davitashen communities.
The Deputy Mayor also said that elevator roofs of tenement houses are
being repaired with assistance of prefectures and condominiums. 76
out of 4261 elevators operating in Yerevan have been already repaired.
