BULGARIA STANDS FOR PEACEFUL SETTLEMENT OF THE KARABAKH CONFLICT

Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Sergey Stanishev declared in Baku
that Bulgaria stands for the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh
conflict. He noted that "any unsolved conflict can have a negative
influence on the multifaceted development of the region."
"I'm, informed about the negotiation process on the Karabakh conflict
settlement, which proceeds with mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group, and
I know that some positive results have been achieved," Mr. Stanishev
said, adding that "when solving such a conflict it is necessary to
take into consideration that agreement between the conflicting sides
will enhance the economic and social development of the region."
