The "National Unity Party" has decided to nominate Artashes Geghamyan's
candidature during the upcoming presidential elections. 10 members
of the party give reasons why Artashes Geghamyan should be nominated
and why the party will not support Ter-Petrosyan's candidature. The
members of the party strictly condemn the former authorities and the
mass media that supports him. Today they criticized the functioning
authorities less, noticing that during the last 5 years they had
been criticizing the functioning authorities strictly from the NA
tribune. According to Artashes Geghamyan, "Ter-Petrosyan is engaged
in plagiarism, pointing out his deficiencies and mistakes".
Artashes Geghamyan notices that their party has no problems with
memory. He condemns any attempt that is directed at disrupting
the nation, he does not admit the choice between black and
white. Geghamyan is mainly annoyed by "group of bandits" phrase,
stating what Turkey will think of him for protecting the "group of
bandits" in Strasbourg. But as he mentions he has protected Armenia's
interests. Members of the "National Unity Party" announce that their
candidate is the alternative for today's and former authorities.
To the question of "A1+", who the "National Unity Party" will support
if Serge Sargsyan and Levon Ter-Petrosyan pass the second stage,
Gheghamyan ensures that he will pass the second stage. By the way,
he excludes Serge Sargsyan - Levon Ter-Petrosyan fight in the second
stage.
Geghamyan confirmed today that he had met both Serge Sargsyan and
Robert Kocharyan. He had met Kocharyan in his residence, while Serge
Sargsyan in the house of the latter's parent of son-in-law's house. "I
would not meet him in the Government", said Geghamyan.
Levon Galstyan, member of the "National Unity Party" wondered why
everyone considered Geghamyan a bomb. "He is an intercontinental
missile", said Levon Galstayan.
Sargsis Muradkhanyan, anther member of the "National Unity Party"
declared: "Levon Ter-Petrosyan is the biggest bomb not in the
opposition field, but in the basis of our state".
