FORUM DEDICATED TO THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MEMORIAL TO ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

November 27-28 a two-day internationals forum titled "From Memory
to Commemoration" dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Memorial
to Armenian Genocide victims in Tsitsernakaberd will be held in
Yerevan. The conference will feature Armenian National Assembly Speaker
Tigran Torosyan, RA Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian, RA Minister of
Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, President of the National Academy of Sciences
Radik Martirosyan, as well as historans and political scientists from
Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Russia and Japan.
Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum Institute Haik Demoyan
told Armenpress that a documentary on the Armenian Genocide and the
international approaches toward it will be presented. Reports will be
made on the destruction of Armenian historical-architectural monuments
in Turkey and Azerbaijan.
Participants of the forum are expected to visit the Mother See of
Holy Etchmiadzin.
