RA DELEGATION TO TAKE PART IN ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF WORLD BANK AND INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND.

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 17, NOYAN TAPAN. Serge Sargsian, the Prime Minister
of the Republic of Armenia, left for the United States of America on
October 17. He will visit the Pentagon and meet with Robert Gates,
the Defence Secretary of the United States of America, on October
18. The meeting of Serge Sargsian with Richard Chaney, the Vice
President of the United States of America, will be held on the same
day. And the meeting of the RA Prime Minister with John Danilovich,
the Chief Executive Officer for the Millenium Challenges Corporation,
will take place in the headquarters of the above-mentioned corporation.
The delegation headed by the RA Prime Minister will leave for Los
Angeles from Washington on the October 18 evening, where the meeting
of Serge Sargsian with the editorial board of the Los Angeles Times is
envisaged to be held on October 19. The meeting of the Prime Minister
with the leaders of the Linsy foundation will be held on the same day.
The delegation headed by the RA Prime Minister will leave for
Washington on October 20, where Serge Sargsian will meet with Dominique
Strauss-Kahn, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund,
on October 21.
The members of the RA governmental delegation will take part in the
annual conference of the World Bank and the International Monetary
Fund in the capital of the United States of America on October
22. Afterwards, Prime Minister Serge Sargsian will leave for the
U.S. Senate to meet with Harry Reid, the leader of the Senate majority.
On October 23 Serge Sargsian, the RA Prime Minister, will have a
private conversation with Ruben Jeffrey , the U.S. Deputy Secretary
of State, in the U.S. State Department. The head of the Armenian
government will take part in the sitting of the meeting of the
Armenian-American working group and make an opening speech on the
same day.
The meeting of the RA Prime Minister with Condoleezza Rice, the
U.S. Secreatry of State, is envisaged on October 23. The delegation
headed by the RA President will leave for Paris on the same day.
According to the information provided to Noyan Tapan by the Information
and Public Relations Department of the RA Government, Ministers of
Finances and Economics, Trade and Economic Development, as well as
of Agriculture, the Chief Economic Advisor to the RA President, the
Chairman of the RA Central Bank, as well as the Deputy Minister of
Foreign Affairs are included in the RA delegation.
