MAYOR OF MARSEILLES AGREES WITH SARKOZY: TURKEY SHOULD NOT BECOME
MEMBER OF EUROPEAN UNION
YEREVAN, OCTOBER 19, NOYAN TAPAN. "Before becoming a president, as well
as today we are of the same opinion with Sarkozy and do not want Turkey
to become a member of the European Union," Senator Jean Klod Godin, the
Mayor of Marseilles, declared at the press conference held in the
municipality of Yerevan on October 19. According to him, he once again
became convinced in Armenia that Turkey should not become a member of
the European Union.
According to the Mayor of Marseilles, when visiting Armenia he was
under an impression as if he were returning to his sources. "The
delgation accompanying me felt the same and we are proud that France
adopted the Armenian Genocide in 2001," Jean Klod Godin mentioned.
