Council of Europe Secretary General on official visit to Armenia
Strasbourg, 31.10.2007 - The Secretary General of the Council of Europe,
Terry Davis, will make an official visit to Yerevan (Armenia) on Monday
5 November.
He will have meetings with the Speaker of the National Assembly, Tigran
Torosian, the Prime Minister, Serge Sargsian, the Minister for Foreign
Affairs, Vartan Oskanian, and members of the Armenian delegation to the
Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The aim of the visit is
to strengthen relations and co-operation between the Council of Europe
and Armenia, which has been a member of the Organisation since January
2001.
Mr Davis will also visit Yerevan State University, where he will address
an audience including students from the Yerevan School of Political
Studies, set up by the Council of Europe in 2005.Le Secrétaire

l'Europe, Terry Davis, effectuera une visite officielle à Erevan
(Arménie) le lundi 5 novembre.
M. Davis rencontrera le Président de l'Assemblée Nationale, Tigran
Torosian, le Premier Ministre, Serge Sargsian, le Ministre des Affaires
étrangères, Vartan Oskanian, et des membres de la délégation
arménienne auprès de l'Assemblée parlementaire du Conseil de
l'Europe. Sa visite a pour objet de renforcer les relations et la
coopération entre le Conseil de l'Europe et l'Arménie, membre de
l'Organisation depuis janvier 2001.
M. Davis prononcera également un discours à l'Université d'Etat de
Erevan, en présence notamment des étudiants de l'Ecole d'études
politiques d'Erevan, créée par le Conseil de l'Europe en 2005.
