DAVIT BABAYAN IS HEAD OF GENERAL INFORMATION OFFICE

On September 8 Davit Babayan, NKR president's assistant, was appointed
head of the General Information Office under NKR president.
Davit Babayan graduated from the Institute of Economics of Yerevan in
1994, the department of political science of the American University
of Armenia in 1997 and the department of international relations of
the Central European University (Budapest) in 1998.
In May 2005 he got his Ph.D. at the Institute of Oriental Studies of
the Armenian National Academy.
In 1998-1999 he was the second secretary of the political office
of the NKR foreign ministry, in 2000-2001 he was the head of the
political planning department of the political office, and in 2001
he was head of the political office of the foreign ministry.
In 2001-2005 he was expert for the Planning Group under the NKR
president. In February 2005 he was appointed assistant to NKR
president.
He teaches at Artsakh State University and the Stepanakert branch of
the Russian-Armenian University of the Humanities.
