DOES GAZPROM ENVY "ARMRUSGAZARD"?

"Gazprom" understands the economic state in Armenia.
According to Valeri Golubev, the in-coming Vice-President of
Gazprom, it is proved by the fact that Russia sells gaz to Armenia
by 110 dollars, while according to their surveys in 2011 the inner
consumption of gaz in Russia would be 150 dollars for 1000 cubic
meter. "Armenia buys gaz cheaper that Belarus does. Belarus will pay
130 dollar for 1000 cubic meter in 2008, when Armenia will receive
gaz for 110 dollars for 1000 cubic meter for another year,- mentioned
Golubev,- it turns out that "Gasprom" grants dotations to Armenia's
economy at the moment by selling the gaz at the lowest price. That
is our perception of the general economic state". In order not to
harm our economy, Golubev finds that the rise in price should not
be done abruptly. Today Mr Golubev appraised the accomplishments of
"ArmRusGazard" on its 10-th anniversary.
"I should say that I even envy Armenia's level of gasification. We
highly appreciate the achievements of "ArmRusGazard". It exceeds the
gasification level of Russia. Only separate states in Russia have
equal gasification level as Armenia",- announced Valery Golubev. In
his opinion the accomplishments of "ArmRusGazard" is due to the
stable economic growth in Armenia and the professional management of
"ArmRusGazard". Golubev prioritized the use of natural gaz for engines'
working by gaz. "ArmRusGazard" has registered a rather dynamic
development in this regard. "Gaz has a great demand in Armenia as
a fuel.
As compared with petrol and diesel, gaz is cheap and ecologically
clean. The contribution of "ArmRusGazard" in this regard is great",
he said. As an achievement, Golubev pointed out the alteration of gaz
consumption structure. "If the energy was the main consumption before,
now the volume of gaz exhausted by small and medium businesses is huge,
as well as the consumption of gaz by the residents".
Karen Karapetyan, executive director of "ArmRusGazard" continued
Golubev's speech and promised that the upcoming 10 years would be
successful and triumphal for "ArmRusGazard". As to the rise in the
price of gaz he advised not to talk about it yet and invited everyone
to the Republic Square tonight to enjoy the concert devoted to
"ArmRusGazard's" anniversary.
The RA President Robert Kocharyan also visited "ArmRusGazard"
to congratulate the organization. Karen Karapetyan introduced the
President with the repaired territory of the organization. Afterwards
the President held a consultation with the delegation of "Gazprom".
