    Troika Dialog opens its prices flat as trade in Asian markets
    is mixed. Crude futures ended last week down on speculation that
    slowing U.S. economic growth could compound a seasonal decline in fuel
    demand. Aton brokerage sees markets opening down due to a decline in
    oil prices and U.S. futures. Trading at the start of the week will
    be volatile. Olma expects markets to open with a downward correction
    as buyers hold back on limited signs of growth on world markets.

    IN THE PAPERS [PRESS/RU]: Vedomosti business daily cites sources
    saying that First Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev may leave
    the government to become chief executive of gas monopoly Gazprom
    (GAZP.MM: Quote, Profile, Research). New Prime Minister Viktor
    Zubkov could reveal his new cabinet on Tuesday, the newspaper
    said. Vedomosti also reports the appointment of Boris Alyoshin,
    former head of Russia's federal industry agency, as president of
    AvtoVAZ (AVAZ.MM: Quote, Profile, Research), the country's largest
    car maker. The newspaper reports fertiliser maker Uralkali (URKA.RTS:
    Quote, Profile, Research), which is preparing a second attempt for
    an initial public share offering in London, posted an 80 percent
    year-on-year rise in first-half net profit of $151 million.

    Kommersant daily carries an interview with Denis Manturov, whose
    appointment as deputy industry and energy minister was Mikhail
    Fradkov's last before his resignation as prime minister.

    Manturov, previously general director of industrial and investment
    group Oboronprom, said his new job would involve leading the defence
    and machine-building sectors.
