TWO FACTIONS MET IN STEPANAKERT

Since the 11th General Meeting of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun was held
in Stepanakert, the ARF faction of the Armenian parliament and the
ARF Dashnaktsutyun - Movement 88 faction of the NKR parliament had
a meeting at the Armenia Hotel in Stepanakert on September 17. The
first meeting which imparted the parliamentary cooperation of the
two Armenian with new shading took place on May 13 in Yerevan. At
that time agreement was reached to hold such meetings regularly.
During the meeting in Stepanakert the importance of parliamentary
cooperation for strengthening ties between the two Armenian states and
shifting the level of the parliamentary ties was underlined. The head
of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun faction Hrair Karapetyan and the head of
the ARF Dashnaktsutyun - Movement 88 faction Armen Sargsyan presented
the results of legislative work.
We have learned that the improvement of the legislation of both
countries was discussed, as well as internal and external policies,
namely the talks on the Karabakh issue. The importance of studying
the rich parliamentary experience of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun in the
Armenian parliament for the Karabakh parliamentarians was emphasized.
The deputy speaker of the Armenian parliament Vahan Hovanisyan also
participated in the meeting. The next meeting was arranged to be held
in Yerevan.
