AMBASSADOR OF EGYPT PRESENTED HIS CREDENTIALS TO PRESIDENT KOCHARYAN

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt Vahid
El Din Ismail Galal presented his credentials to RA President Robert
Kocharyan.
Congratulating the Ambassador, the President expressed appreciation for
the dynamic development of Armenian-Egyptian relations and underlined
that Armenia attaches importance to the further expansion of relations
with this leading Arab state.
Robert Kocharyan recalled his recent official visit to Egypt and noted
that he is impressed by the ancient civilization of this country,
its immense historical and cultural heritage. He expressed confidence
that the agreements concluded during the visit will be accomplished
as soon as possible.
Ambassador Galal said he has an experience of cooperation with
Armenia. Before his appointment he chaired the Egypt Fund for Technical
Cooperation with CIS, European and Newly-Independent Countries,
due to which many Armenian specialists were retrained in Egypt.
The interlocutors touched upon the perspectives of development
of bilateral cooperation, stressing the importance of enlarging
cooperation in the field of culture, information technologies and
tourism.
