ARMENIA TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCHI-2014 OLYMPICS SITE CONSTRUCTION

Russia will likely use Armenian building materials in the construction
work for the Olympics games to take place in Sochi in 2014. As
reported by Interfax, Russian prime minister Viktor Zubkov relayed
this decision to his Armenian counterpart, Serge Sargsyan, during
their recent meeting.
"It isn't ruled out that Armenian builders will take part in the
construction efforts for the Sochi-2014 Olympic games," Zubkov said.
In his opinion, cooperation in the field of construction plays
an important part in the two countries' general plan of economic
cooperation.
"You know that Armenia has always been known for possessing good
building materials and that it has experts able to use these materials
in carrying out the building tasks," Zubkov said. In his opinion,
the use of Armenian building materials in the construction of the
site buildings in Sochi can play an important part in the expansion
of economic cooperation between Russia and Armenia.
