TRIBUTE TO THE MEMORY OF THE OCTOBER 27 VICTIMS

Ten years have passed after the attack on the Armenian National
Assembly on October 27, 1999. The leadership of the Republic of
Armenia headed by President Serzh Sargsyan visited Yerablur today to
pay tribute to the memory of the victims. President Sargsyan laid a
wreath at Vazgen Sargsyan's grave and the memorial to the victims of
the liberation war in Artsakh.
A memorial to the victims of the October 27 attack was unveiled at the
National Assembly Park. The memorial to state and political figures
Karen Demirchyan, vazgen Sargsyan, Yuri Bakhshyan, Ruben Miroyan,
Mikael Kotanyan, Armenak Armenakyan, Henrik Abrahamyan and Leonid
Petrosyan was replaced by Yervand Kochar's "David" statue.
