OHANYAN TRANSFERRED AMD 57 M TO BUDGET

The Haykakan Zhamanak Daily reported that three more people are
involved in the criminal case of the ex-chief of traffic police
Margar Ohanyan. They are Stepan Karakhanyan, Ara Levonyan and Samvel
Makhmuryan.
All of them are officers of the traffic police. The investigator to
this case said the case will be sent to court in a few days. Ohanyan's
lawyer said yesterday that the ex-traffic police chief transferred
AMD 57 million to the budget but it does not mean that Ohanyan will
plead guilty. "This is a matter of honor. The case happened in the
bodywhich he headed," said Attorney Vasakyan. As to where Ohanyan got
such a big sum of money, the lawyer said the money was collected by
Ohanyan's relatives and friends.
