LABORATORY OF MOBILE PHONES TO BE ESTABLISHED IN ARMENIA

One of the world laboratory-centers for working out, forming new
program solutions, ideas for all types of mobile phones is expected to
be created in Armenia. Director of the Enterprises Incubator Foundation
Bagrat Yengibaryan said speaking to Armenpress that agreed with the
daily increase of the role of mobile phones, Finnish "Nokia" company
in collaboration with the government of Finland initiated opening of
5 laboratories in the world of which 2 are expected to open in Africa,
one in the territory of the CIS (except Russia), 2 in Asia.
""Nokia" company has provided to the World Bank financial means as
well as conducted tenders between the states which will offer the
best projects for opening of the 5 centers. As a result, Armenia won
from the CIS countries and achieved the right to establish a regional
laboratory in Armenia", Yengibaryan noted. A corresponding agreement
was signed between the Enterprises Incubator Foundation and the World
Bank for provision of the financial means.
Speaking about the work of the laboratory Yengibaryan noted that
specialists engaged in it will have an opportunity to work out through
modern technology applications intended for all kinds of mobile phones.
"Currently the process of team gathering is underway. Those who
expressed wish to participate in the works of the laboratory will
pass classes that will launch in September", Yengibaryan said.
The center will open at the Yerevan State Architectural University.
Before the opening the works will be conducted at the Enterprises
Incubator Foundation.
