Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Every year the Azerbaijan Copyright Agency finds
new violations of copyright by the Armenians on the national cultural
heritage of Azerbaijan.
Agency's head Kamran Imanov says that the Agency regularly informs the
World Organization for Intellectual Property (WIPO) about Azerbaijan's
copyright infringement by the Armenians.
"For already 200 years Armenians have appropriated the cultural
heritage of Azerbaijan, giving our wealth for their own. This process
continues and probably will not stop. This summer, we sent a letter to
the head of WIPO, in which we presented the facts of the appropriation
of our cultural heritage by the Armenians. In its response WIPO
stressed the importance of cooperation with the Copyright Agency
of Azerbaijan in this process by reporting that it has taken into
account the facts presented by the Agency," Imanov emphasized.
